"Kooh-e-Rama" (Sacred Arvadic Name) is located in the East of Katlang, whereas "Madhu Dhere" is in the West, the tail of Kooh-e-Rama the historic site of old civilization are located called "kafaro Kothay" by the locals shows deep relation of Katlang with the Ghandhara Civilization. In the main village of Katlang two muhallahs[check spelling] are named as "Odeeg Ram" and "Darband" booth are of Hindu origin. A village with same name of "Odeeg Ram" is also located in the Swat valley near Mingora whereas "Darband" in Hazara. Dag Bangla Katlang was established in 1913, Primary school Katlang in 1916 and Police Station of Katlang was established in 2017, it shows that Katlang was a developed area in the British India.
